SMM reported on July 30: According to official sources, Yunnan Chihongyuan Comprehensive Utilization Co., Ltd. recently sold cadmium ingots externally, with a quantity of approximately 100 mt. The transaction was successfully concluded, with the final transaction price being around 28,700 yuan/mt based on official information. Market participants indicated that the volume of cadmium tenders by Yunnan Chihongyuan Comprehensive Utilization Co., Ltd. was not small this time, and the final transaction price was not low. This might also suggest that as we gradually enter August, the traditional peak season for the cadmium market in the second half of the year (H2) will gradually arrive. With the increase in downstream stockpiling and procurement volume, cadmium prices may experience a rebound after a prolonged period of decline.
